Anyone else finding it impossible to do anything other than think about family and food this week? It’s ridiculously busy at work right now and all I can seem to do is look at cooking blogs and photos from our epic Thanksgiving last year (more on that next week…). I just looked at almost every recipe on this blog and they all look amazing! How about some pumpkin tres leches cake? Or some sundried tomato basil corn muffins? Holy buckets, I could stay on her website all day. Or what about Food Gawker? I could get lost there too among the recipes for sweet potato parmesan gratin or the cranberry poached pears with goat cheese. Seriously, how are we supposed to do anything other than cook and hang out with family this week? I can’t wait for Wednesday night to get here!

Family and food!

I know, I know, I’m a little obbssesed with my dog. But she’s so cute and now that the weather is cooling off she’s super cuddly! I’ve been bringing her into the office lately on days that I have to drive and yesterday she spent the whole day cuddled up against the heater 🙂
I may be feeling a little guilty because I’m putting her in the kennel over the weekend while we visit Kyle’s family in San Francisco. This will be the first time I’ve ever kenneled her and I’m more nervous than she would be if she knew what was about to happen :/

This is her grumpy face – I woke her up from a nap to take this picture.

You guys.

Not to brag or anything, but I have 100% in my online math class right now. Seriously, not to brag, I’m just super excited since I haven’t been in school since 2009. My brain still works!

I wish I had textbooks, but my little laptop will have to do!

Online classes are a completely different way of learning and I was really worried that not having a real textbook or a professor who’s office I could stop into if I had any questions would pose a huge problem for me. But I’ve managed to successfully take responsibility for teaching myself, I’ve held myself accountable for my homework and exam studying schedules, and I only have three weeks left!
